I get the same thing. I slipped and fell on it about 15 years ago, and all of a sudden, I can hardly bear to have my sleeve brush against it. Bone x-ray looked good. No fragments, which is what I thought.

Might be tendonitis?? Or tennis elbow from over use. Every move of the hand connects back to the elbow. Is it in the elbow, or on the top of your arm , a bit away from the elbow? I just had a pain shot for it, I had mine for almost 2 months on and off.
To the "bar leaner", its not from leaning, but from constant bending it to get that drink down!! |

i am also having the same problem but mine is new. I have had "tendonitis" for lack of a better diagnosis for over a month and now all the sudden I have all kinds of elbow pain. Not just putting pressure on it, but moving it certain ways or doing nothing at all! Very curious......

I have this too, it lasted for a few months, then all of a sudden it just went away, I was just about to go to the doc, I now have bone pain in my legs, not sure if it's related, but the elbow pain description you gave was exactly what I had.

hi i hit my elbow as i fell down the stairs then a week later caught the back of my elbow on a shelf which was really annoying as it was just starting to feel better after the first time. After then i noticed it was a bit swollen and painful but i thought that it would heal just like the first time. A few weeks later i noticed that when ever i actually leant on my elbow i would have excrutiating pain run straight up my arm though it never hurt to bend or to use my arm in ordinary activities. After a couple of months, ample time i thought for this to go away i finally went to see the doctor who proceeded to tell me that it was a bit swollen and to massage cream in to it i have done this the swelling has has gone down over time but the pain is still there when ever i lean on it. I have looked through websites to see if i could find out what could cause this pain (five months on) but nothing ive looked at seems to have anything with this symptom. Im sure its not tennis elbow as ive looked at the symptoms for that and im sure its not bursitis as there isnt any swelling any more so now im stumped for an answer. If anyone knows anything that could be any use please let me know it would help loads
thanks |

When you suffer from joint pain that does not go away, INSIST on an MRI. After over 2 years of terrible pain that was exacerbated when standing or walking (and my job required me to be on my feet without any breaks for 10 hours a day), seeing bunches of different doctors, having loads of x-rays which showed nothing, and wearing all kinds of braces, I finally INSISTED on an MRI. Turns out I had osteochondritis dissecans in my ankle (on the tibia, not the talus as is the usual site). Surgery relieved the pain to a degree that I can tolerate, although there are certain things I can no longer do. The pain (8 years after the surgery) has returned in full force and I went to a dr who took x-rays, saw nothing, and wanted to have me try braces again for awhile. I then went back to the dr who did my ankle surgery and she sent me for an MRI... it's back! There are things that simply don't show up on x-ray. If you KNOW there's something terribly wrong, don't let doctors screw you around while you're in agony.
