I have intense pain in my middle finger, right at the middle joint. It started overnight two and a half weeks ago. Im a 45 year old male, with a reasonable diet, nonsmoker, nondrinker, good weight,no family history etc.
It is very painful in the morning for 10 minutes--then better through the day. And I seem to be even more senstive to the cold and depressed. I cannot bend that finger due to the pain, buttoning my shirt is difficult, pulling off gloves difficult. I have a cold and wet job in a cooled warehouse and was raised in the cold wet Scottish Highlands. Im waiting and waiting for various tests to come back. I have a chance to go to a hot dryish climate near the equator. Should I go? and WHAT DO I HAVE? Last edited by Lord Clinterty; 12-16-2006 at 08:32 AM. Reason: I actually used my "Title" under the title heading. |

Sounds like OsteoArthritis to me. You use your fingers alot on the job. Does Medicine take it away?
Any type of injury to bone, 10 yrs later oa happens I have been told by my dr. Ask you family Dr next time in to see him. Good luck |
