Question Difficult Question ... help!

I am a 20 yr old female with a steady bf. We have unprotected sex but have both been tested in the past, mainly for bacterial infections and HIV. For the past few months I have had vaginal tears every now and then, but nothing like this--now they're sore and long, running from my clit to my anus, and are on both sides. I also have a few tears between my vagina and anus. Today my clit hurt and I looked, and one side of it is very red and a little splotchy. I have been reading up on what this could be but cannot figure it out. The tears are not pussy, they're just red like cuts. I am in college and do not have a gyno in the area, otherwise I would have gone already. This is what I think it could be: herpes, vaginitis (not sure on spelling), or low estrogen causing dryness and therefore more succeptibility to tearing during sex (my horomones have been out of whack recently and I want to switch birth control pills).

If anyone has any idea on what this could be I would really appreciate the input. I will be going to the doctor but I would feel stupid if it was just "slow down, use lube, and don't go so rough".

Question Re: Difficult Question ... help!

Addition: The next day I found a little bump on my labia next to my clit. I am trying to make an appnt for very soon so I can see what it is. I didn't really take it seriously until the bump showed--it's small and looks like a pimple ... pretty much herpes, right?
