Difficult Diagnosis

After laparotomy ,i was surprised to find a huge mass about 10 by 10cm mass arising within the posterior fornix of the vagina pushing the uterus to get stuck in the umblicus. All the sac content were dained, the hymen was ruptured and the potential cavity drained via the vagina . the patient is now doing well.
I failed to reach my diagnosis. Can any one tell me what that condition could be.
