Default Communicable Disease From Saliva

I recently was in a situation where a person I did not know spit in my face one city night. The man very well could have been homeless and/or mentally ill. Some saliva may have gotten in my mouth and now I am anxious. What types of issues could arrive from this? I cant exactly find him and find out his medical history, as this was almost a week ago. I have done a little research and learned that HIV is all but ruled out, but other conditions like Hepatitis and bacterial infections have come up.

Should I get tested immidately? Should I wait until I feel sick? Like I said, this was almost a week ago and I feel fine, but am still worried about future problems.

Help.

Lightbulb Re: Communicable Disease From Saliva=Ridiculous in your case!

Relax! It is only saliva. If you didn't get a skin reaction in the "exact location" as where the saliva layed, then don't spook yourself in believing that the "skin contact" will someone sneak under your skin (via radio waves) and continue some "mysterious portion of the saliva" measured in microscopic microns (that can only be seen by the most powerful microscope in the world), to continue within your body, and manifest into your body fluids and infect you. There is no boogy man here, or boogy ? within a woman, however it is properly expressed. If the man who spit in your face was foaming at the mouth, then the rabid saliva could then more possibly cause you "rabies". But again, since your skin surface showed no evidence of infection, go back to watching your science fiction movies. Perhaps next Halloween you can dress as a rabid animal, and see how many people you can scare. It worked on you, perhaps until now, to realize how we are brainwashed to believe the most ridiculous possibilities, until we examine them in slow motion, step by step.

There are no boogymen out there.
