Default Do medical professionals ever visit here?

I can't possibly be the first person to ask this, but ... do MDs, nurses, alternative healers, etc. ever visit here and give their opinions and suggestions? It's good to air our problems and connect with others having similar problems, but it'd be great to get some possible solutions too.

There are some medical professionals who are users, yes. But did you bother to look around? Just about every post here has advice or suggestions, and in many instances either by people who have similar symptoms, or by people who had similar symptoms until they finally got a diagnosis. Just about everyone is here because they have medical professionals who are totally clueless about what is wrong with the patient.

Did I bother to look around for what? I searched the forums exhaustively for my problem, and there's only one thread related to it. I've also searched the Internet exhaustively, and came to this site because it was the only one I could find that even mentioned it. As for looking around for medical professionals who are users, how would I have done that? I'm not asking this question because I'm lazy. I'm asking because I couldn't find an answer anywhere on the site.

These are "keyword" searches, not by context- that's the limitation. Someone may have same problems but just by using a different vocabulary you miss the content in the search.
I think you are better off reading posts beyond the orignal posting or tittle, and read into the "advice".

What were your symptoms?

This is the thread: "Sulfur-Tasting Belches," http://forums.wrongdiagnosis.com/showthread.php?t=2710. As I said, I've searched Google and other search engines with various keywords, and both spellings of sulfur/sulphur, and this thread is the only thing I found that mentions it at all.

Have you really ingested sulphur in the past? Some people might have the same problem, but call it something else because they might not be too familiar with sulphur.
Like "acid" "sour" "belching", etc. - and then you want to read into the advice given to people with similar problems.
Rule of thumb: Try Oriental Medicine, Try Naet, for now avoid processed food, wheat, and drink as much pure water as possible.

Best

I personally did not reply to your post, because I have extensively discussed that topic within the last 4 months.

Those are helpful suggestions, thanks. If you don't mind, I'll copy them back to the other thread.

However, the sulfur belches were just a one-time, short-term thing for me, so I'm not following up on that anymore. I started this thread because I genuinely wondered whether trained medical people ever jumped into the discussions to offer their opinions and suggestions. "unregistered" says yes, but I guess it's just an occasional thing and we can't count on it regularly.

And NAET is ... Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique, yes?
