gerd eczema swollen lymp nodes

my son is 4 months old. we have been dealing with gerd since 5 wks. he had eczema on his cheeks then it spread to his whole body. also has protein allergy to soy and milk and allergy to latex. he goes to allergist in 1 week, my question is he has a swollen lymph node the size of a nickel on the base of his neck, its moveable and hard. the doc is checking for immune problems. anyone out there familar with this or any of these symptoms. he is a miserable little boy , never been sick except when he was i week old with a minor cold

Sounds like an allergy or a chemical sensitivity. I'd check out the baby's bedding (sheets & blankets) or even his clothes for any chemical smell. There are many harsh petrochemicals being added to fabrics these days.

Also check out the detergent you use and/or the dryer sheets/softeners. They're putting some really harsh chemicals in them nowadays.

i only use hot water to wash clothes, no soap except down below. i finally got triaminocinilone for rash, if i miss a spot it flares bright red. i have to put socks on his little hands at nite or it looks like he got into a fight with scissors!

My eczema is best helped by removing allergens. Just a few ideas of measures I have taken that have helped to give you a scope of what might be necessary besides washing walls: Get rid of any pets, check for mold anywhere, incase all bedding in plastic, throw away all the cute stuffed animals, get rid of all carpet if possible (I was allergic to the carpet adhesive GET HEPA AIR FILTERS for all the rooms your budget will allow, don't use curtains (blinds are easier to clean and hold less allergens), check seals around windows and doors for leaks to the allergen filled world outside, take off your shoes when you come in house so you don't track in chemical traces. Be wary of all the types of chemicals you are using to clean with - check into "green" products. When you buy any new clothes or toys (even plastic ones) let them "air" before you bring them home and then wash them.

Did the lymph node go down yet? If it remains enlarged and his WBC count is normal, you might want to speak to a doctor about a biopsy just to make sure it's not anything more serious.

the node has gone down, it was from the infection on his head from the ezcema. it gets bigger and smaller all the time. i was able to put desonide onit for 5 days only and his head was wonderful, but b/c of the side effects i cant keep using it and we are back to sqaure one. hopefully warmer temps will help.

So he's a late Libra or Scorpio born in a Chinese year of the Dog. They are not ill often but have fragile systems, easily upset by non-natural products. "Dogs" always have arthritis in some form, best not to make it worse with meds this early. Try naturopathic remedies, get yourself a good and kind homeopath. Important: The one thing a "Dog" should avoid is cortisone. Especially skinny Libra/Scorpio Dogs with dark brown hair (if European) and some freckles. Animal dogs also, are seldom better off after cortisone. For now try frequent, pure aqueous cream.

Too much social attention and noise will upset your baby, he needs solitude. Try not to take him into city noise while sick; keep the TV noise down or off. Pay careful attention to how you handle him. It must be caring, "sensual" and respectful, more so than with other kids. Never "with your hind left hoof". Avoid fatty stuff (Dogs can't assimilate it) and rather fish than meat. Test once a year for diabetes, just to be sure - they sometimes have pancreas problems. Try to adapt to his natural rhythm, not imposing schedules. And try to be outside, in a quiet spot of nature with him often.

oh wow girl i feel for you !!my daughter who is 3 has has severe eczema since she was born!! i tell you what we tried everything in the world and it didnt work even the lotion you are using on your son.we actually went to the dermatoligist 2 weeks ago her doctor put her on doxepin hydrochloride at night time ! before this medication no one was sleeping she would wake up every hour scratching her skin so raw it would bleed and never heal or get in control,so anyway with this medication she and everbody else has been sleeping all night and because she is not getting up in the middle of the night scraching all night it is allowing her skin to heal . The doc also gave me a medicine called derma-smooth body oil and i put that on her 2 times a day and i cant tell you it is amazing she is 85% better then she was. my husband and i keep a fan on her every night to keep her cool and her clothing is all 100% cotton . she also has acid reflux to she cant canmt have acid friuts or her face breaks out and with certain food also. does your family have a history of eczema or allergies?

sounds just like my son. he has a rash around his upper lips cheeks and chin, maybe it is from the fruit. it didnt start until we started feeding him. what foods did you give her that made her face like that. is this cream and oil a prescription? we use atopiclair and desonide now, i try not to use the steriod b/c of the side effects. his acid reflux is almost gone now that i started feeding him solids. i took him to a chiropracter and he said his neck and back were out. also b/c of this it stimulates his sympathetic nervous system which actually causes him to overheat.... so his rash gets worse. and when its warm it gets really bad and he is miserable. our family has mild allergy around spring nothing to take meds for or anything.
