Default Re: Thrombocytosis

My hematoloigt thinks I have early stages of t. cytosis. My platelet count is about 441-455. I have had a low grade fever for about 3 months now. Do you have a fever with yours? I do have some itching, but not a huge problem yet. When I scratch, I get little bumps there. Do you do that? Can you tell me more about this disease? What were your platelet counts before you started treatment other thatn asprin? What are your other symptoms? I also have Hashimotos (thyroid disoder- autoimmine) What is your prognosis? Are you feeling sick besides the itching? HOw long have you had it? How are the rest of your blood related labs? Red, hemo, hemat, white? ALl these were elevated and they thought I had polycythemia rubra vera at first and then the rest of the numbers went down, but the platelets went up a little. I just found out I may have this and they are waiting a month to retest. Am looking for all the info I can get. Thanks for your response. Hope you can get relief for your itching. Have they put you on any meds for that?
