I think I have glossitis, but I'm not sure. I am 18 years old. I have several red spots in the middle of my tongue, and they are just how the spots are described in the article. The only thing is, my tongue has no swelling.

I am relatively new to cigar smoking, and have only gotten into it the past three or four months of my life. I have smoked about 30 cigars in that time period. Recently, I got a sore throat from smoking cigars and started eating very hot soup to calm it down. Could it be that these two things combined have caused glossitis on my tongue? Will I experience swelling later?

I would appreciate an answer from anyone who can help.

drdrew, have you been to the doctors? You should see a specialist regarding this matter so you can get your condition under control. Ur a pretty young person, have you considered quitting? Take care of yourself and your health while you're young. Take care
