Hyperthyroid or crazy?

I have been feeling horrible since 8/06. Tired, dizzy, lightheaded, palpitations, muscle weakness, can't get enough sleep, and irritable. I have had every test run and they were normal until 2/07. My TSH level is 0. T3 and T4 were elevated in March and April but have gone back to the normal range. TSH is still 0. My endocrinologist says that it is thyroiditis and will go back to normal. TSH has been 0 in Feb., March, April, and May. He wants to wait a couple of months and retest. He refuses to put me on any medication. I still feel horrible and have 1 year old twins to chase after. Any ideas?

Not to be rude, but the answer to your question is simple. Go to a different doctor and insist on treatment.

Postpartum Thyroiditis? It was originally thought that I had this, which goes from hyperthyroidism in the first few months to a period of hypothyroidism and then finally euthyroid, but I actually have developed Grave's Disease postpartum. Make sure they do ALL the tests!
