Loss of Taste

I am a 56 year old female and have loss my taste for the third time. The first time it happened it saw an ENT doctor and he could not find anything wrong and it resume in 2 days; the second time it happened I saw a different ENT doctor, he prescribed predisone, which I did not take and it resume in 2-3 days. This time it is a different feeling. Neither doctor could tell me why this happened. Any input on this issue?

i m 1st time on this forum, dont know how it works, but my problem is i get same taste and smell ( medicine smell ) for almost all food . i get same smell as soon as i get into car when its hot in sun. same smell when i enter house and something is cooking . i m losing my appetite now..

I too have lost my taste & smell. I wake up every morning with a white coating on my tongue and everything tastes and smells the same. The doctor prescribed me Nexium for GERD but it hasn't helped the taste and smell problem. Help!
