I started taking Ambien CR a few months ago. I started taking a B vitamin supplement a few weeks ago. In the past 2 to 3 weeks I have started experiencing a numbness and tingling around the outside of my mouth, the lips mainly. I am trying to figure out if this is a reaction to the Ambien or to the B vitamin supplement. Anyone ever experience this?

possibly herpes or diabetes. I recommend a glucose tolerance test and a swab for viral herpes 1 or 2.

Thank you for your response. I have been diagnosed with the nerves being twisted and pinched in my neck due to the spine being very out of alignment for 3 discs in a row at the base of my neck. I am now undergoing chiropractic care. When standing or lying flat, the numbness and tingling wear off, it intensifies when sitting for long periods or lying on my side, which makes me only believe it wouldn't be diabetes or herpes. I am also pregnant and have had blood tests for everything, with all results clean. I've also had the glucose test which came back normal.

Can you use Ambien in pregnancy?
