The only symptom I have of a thyroid condition is edema in my face/hands/legs. I am 21 yr old female, i have been tested 2 in the past month for thyroid. first test came back with TSH level 5.22, second test came back 6.33 but a normal T4 level of 0.9. First doctor said nothing about a possible thyroid condition, however the second doctor is adamant that I have Hypothyroidism. Does this sound right to anyone?

Low FT4 and High TSH are signs of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, the most common form of hypothyroidism. Your T4 (Which I'm assuming is the Free T4) is on the low side of normal. You should be checked for the Hashimoto's antibodies. I would put money on you having them.
