Red spot on front side top part of tongue

Hello

I have had a red spot on the top right hand side of my tongue that is about the size of a penny... It doesnt hurt and it doesnt bother me... It is hardly noticeable in the morning but at night its much more visable. I chew alot of that cinnamon gum and I to rest it right on that area thats red.. Its been red for about a week now... I went to my doctor and he took a swab of it.. He is not sure if I hurt it or not... any suggestions???????

You could be having a reaction to the cinnamon in the gum you are chewing especially if you are holding it or chewing it mainly on the one side. Some people's mouth's are very sensitive to the cinnamon oil. Try not chewing gum for a week and see if this helps. If it doesn't see a dentist or an oral surgeon.
