thyroxine

I've been on thyroxine for years and have been told I will be on it for life as I've an underactive thyroid. I was wondering what would happen if I just came of it and gave my body the chance to sort itself out without the thyroxine? Not been brave enough to try it has anyone else felt the same and come of thyroxine once they've been prescribed it? I would be really interested to know how they got on.

For your own SAFETY, DON'T attempt to take yourself OFF ANY Medications that have been prescribed to you for your THYROID problem!!!!!!!! I was diagnosed with HYPOTHYROIDISM over 17 yrs ago and I can no longer count how many times I STOPPED taking my medication. Let's just say that WITHOUT my medication I AM NOT A PRETTY SIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!


STAY ON THE MEDICATION!
