This condition has been going on for 10 months. Is more prominent after eating But sometimes it subsides for a day or two then comes back. My lips get parched sometimes also. Have seen gastro doc-dentist-ENT and dermatologist..No one seems to know the answer and don't seem concerned because it doesn't appear to be life threatning!! I am gaining weight because I eat so much trying to get kid of the bitter/sweet taste..It feels like I have been sucking on a lemonhead candy..Can anyone help...PLEASE__PLEASE

In Chinese medicine bitter taste is a liver imbalance, and sweet taste is a spleen imbalance. If you could find an acupuncturist they could diagnose and treat your symptoms without having a western diagnosis.

Do you drink a lot of water? Do you have any nausea? Do you urinate frequently? How is your digestion? These and many more questions would be asked by a TCM practitioner. For more info visit www.acufinder.com (http://www.acufinder.com)
Best wishes.

Thanks for the suggestion...I had acupuncture done several years ago for my rheumatoid arthritis..It didn't help much but perhaps I'll try again.. I don't drink as much water as I should but its hard to believe that would make this taste so bad..Everythink else is fine...no nausea-indigestion-heartburn, urinary problems--I've tried a lot of medicine related to GERD and that doesn't help either... Thanks again...
